Ideal conditions greeted a field of 38 riders, all of whom finished. This day may go down as the best Time Trial event in the Almonte Bicycle Club history, which goes back 20 years! There were 13 Personal Best Times (note that this includes today's fastest woman, Cynthia Wilson, formerly known as Cynthia Clarke). As well, of the 16 riders who has ridden a 40km ABC TT in 2007, 14 improved upon their previous 2007 ATT best. 10 riders were under 60 minutes. Michael Nash led the way setting a new Course Record in a time of 52:44, eclipsing his previous record of 53:30. Cynthia Wilson led the women in a time of 61:59. Cynthia has been doing really well in triathlons, having won a bronze medal at the Canadian Long Course Triathlon Championships in British Columbia on 2007-Jul-08. Fastest male from the Almonte Bicycle Club, Demetri Tsarouchas set a Personal Best time in 64:41; and fastest female from the ABC, Kathleen Milne in 76:39. Both Demetri and Kathleen have improved in in each 40km TT ridden thus far this season.
